For those of you who don’t know me already, my name is Jamie Ivanov. Yes, I’m a guy so please no more emails asking me. I was born near Leningrad in the USSR and was adopted when I was 4. I’ve been interested in electronics and computers since as far back as I can remember. I’ve been in to ham radio since I was about 10 years old and got my novice ticket when I was 12. I got my technician license when I was 13.
I’ve been involved with various ARES groups participating in Skywarn and search and rescue operations since I was able to drive. I like putting my skills to work. You may have seen my vehicle driving around or on the side of the road trying to help someone out. Please don’t try to run me over, that would make me rather sad. I’m not rich by any means, but I carry what I can afford and do what I can to help others.
For those people I’ve helped so thus far, there is no need to thank me for helping out, I do what I do because I like to do it. Just pay it forward and help someone else in need.
